Among the other very important and interesting things that I’m thinking about today, I’m wondering about archiving content from other sites here. I’m on GoodReads, and the idea of crossposting reviews has crossed my mind more than once.
Mostly it would be in the interest of having some sort of backup–should something happen to GoodReads (or any other site, really,) I’d like to know that I’ve still got my words hanging about somewhere.
Then I thought that maybe I should only post that sort of thing here, but it lacks the social aspect of GoodReads, and I suspect that I’d get fewer comments about how I am stupid for hating To Kill A Mockingbird here, and–okay, well, I can’t say that the comments are the high point of my day, exactly, but I also can’t say that they don’t amuse me.
On the off chance that any of the three people who are reading this have an opinion, please feel free to weigh in. Is it too annoying to crosspost that sort of thing, or is it okay?
You have your own website, so you might as well use the space to catalogue and archive. I approve! Also, I haven’t finished Tequila Mockingbird, but I think it’s great that you’re honest and thoughtful about your opinions. Share ‘em!
