Sleepy Louise kitty. I have to admit that I’m sympathetic to Louise’s very, very lazy approach to life. I feel like this week has gone on forever, and I’m hoping that on Saturday we’re able to just hole up and not do things. I suspect, of course, that this will not be quite how it actually plays out, but I can continue to hope.
I have a huge backlog of things to post about, and haven’t had the time to sit down and string two words together. A not-insubstantial portion of spare time this week has been dedicated to sleeping–I seem to have caught some sort of bug, and have been hard-pressed to do much more than sleep. I was hoping to make some more jam this weekend, but I might have to put it off until next weekend, instead.
The garden is about to turn a corner again, I think. After the early bounty of green beans, peas, chard, and tomatoes, we’ve had several weeks with very little to harvest save for yellow teardrop tomatoes. We’ve got several almost-ripe tomatoes, though, and it looks like the rest of them are on their way, as well. I can’t wait–I’ve not eaten nearly enough tomatoes this summer, and I intend to remedy that as soon as possible.
I’ll leave you with a picture of a kitten sleeping in a bowl. Maura loves to play with my mixing bowls, and Charlie, for some reason, loves to sleep in them.

And now I’m off to bed.

Your kitties are all so adorable.
Summer colds have been going around this year. Pete and I both got them and it took nearly a week to get over it. We’re playing lazy bums this weekend as well as he’s not feeling that great, even though we were invited out this afternoon to the blues & brews in Akron. Ah well.
the kitty in a bowl is cute as hell. as is the sleepy kitty!
Hee!!! Charlie in the bowl, best picture ever!
